This is good David. Feels like “there is no Silver Bullet” thesis. On the opposite side, I often hear people say there “are a million things” you need to do, which is probably said in jest a bit (or frustration), but it’s a common refrain. In most areas – sales included – there is finite set of things that will likely lead to success – we can often 80/20 or Occam’s razor it. A balance is needed – it’s not one and it’s not a million – not we have a range to discuss.

    • Michael, well said. I might have phrased it, “There are a million excuses….” There are a finite number of critical activities, but we have to balance our time against all of these and execute each with precision.
